Medical care for someone infected with the Ebola virus results in the generation of infectious medical waste that requires specialized handling, treatment, and disposal. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources is coordinating with the state Department of Health on waste management issues. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is providing valuable information relating to all aspects of the Ebola virus.
