Temporary Discharge Permit

Effective April 1, 2018, South Dakota's General Permit for Temporary Discharge Activities was reissued.

If you are planning to temporarily discharge water to waters of the state such as construction dewatering you may need a temporary discharge permit.

If you have an active stormwater permit for construction activities for this project, please visit the Stormwater Construction page to determine what information is needed to add temporary discharge activities to your current stormwater construction permit.

You should make sure to read and understand the conditions of the permit. A copy of the Temporary Discharge Permit is available in adobe pdf format below. You may also receive a hard copy by contacting the Stormwater Team at 1-800-737-8676.
