Stimulus Funds - EPA State Revolving Funds Awarded to Date
The Board of Water and Natural Resources awarded nearly $38 million for wastewater, drinking water, and storm sewer projects through funds available from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The board awarded $18,469,536 of the ARRA Clean Water State Revolving Fund as loans with principal forgiveness and retained $769,564 for program administration. The board awarded $19,110,000 of the ARRA Drinking Water State Revolving Fund as loans with principal forgiveness and $390,000 to conduct energy audits for small water systems.
The board was required to award at least 50 percent of ARRA funds as principal forgiveness. The board surpassed this objective by awarding more than 80 percent of the ARRA funds as principal forgiveness.
