Storm Water Permit Database

Construction Storm Water General Permit

  • The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural

Resources is in the process of reissuing the General Permit

for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction

Activities. The General Permit will expire January 31, 2015 and

will be administratively continued and current permit coverage

will remain in full force and effect.

To continue your coverage under the reissued General Permit,

the Notice of Intent (NOI) Reauthorization form shall be

submitted to SDDENR.  The form can be located at this link.

To terminate your coverage under the General Permit, the

Notice of Termination (NOT) shall be submitted.

2014 Triennial Review of Surface Water Quality Standards

What we do:


The primary responsibilities of the Surface Water Program are:

 

  • regulate (permit) and monitor discharges of wastewater;

  • establish surface water quality standards; and

  • conduct routine monitoring of surface water to ensure the state's natural resources are protected.
