New Storm Water Permit for Construction Activities
South Dakota’s General Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activity has expired. We have been working on a new permit, have responded to all comments received during the public notice period, and have issued the new permit December 31, 2009 which became effective February 1, 2010. The new general permit and statement of basis (including an addendum of all comments received) may be found below.
Prior to public noticing this permit, DENR hosted a series of meetings during the month of September to present information on the new permit and invite comments and feedback. A copy of the presentation from these meetings is available at this link: Presentation
