Submitting Discharge Monitoring Reports

 

Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) can be submitted to:

 

South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources

Surface Water Quality Program

523 East Capitol Avenue

Pierre, SD 57501-3181

 

Please pay special attention to the permit and submit all DMR's by the date specified.  If no discharge occurred during a month, mark "No Discharge" and submit the DMR to the address above by the date specified in the permit.

 

  • Facilities that are required to report monthly, must submit the DMR on the 28th day of the following month. For example, the report for March 1 to March 31 would be due on April 28th.

 

  • Facilities that are required to report quarterly, must submit the DMR on the 28th day of the month following the end of the quarter. The submittal dates are as follows:

 

by April 28th – for January, February, and March DMRs

by July 28th – for April, May, and June DMRs

by October 28th – for July, August, and September DMRs

by January 28th – for October, November, and December DMRs
