Public Education
It is important to educate the public on ways to protect their source water. There are many simple measures that can be taken to prevent contamination of the water supply. Conservation can also be an important element in protecting source water.
To assist in educating the communities, examples of flyers, brochures, bill stuffers, etc. are created and posted on this site. They are free to download, use, edit, and distribute.
Local Clean Up Day Flyer - This can be edited to meet individual community needs, i.e. add organization’s logo, add or remove items to be collected, etc. (Click here to download)
Some additional sources of educational material are listed below, some are free and others charge a small fee: The Source Water Collaborative web site has a useful free brochure that can be customized to fit your individual organization and downloaded free of charge. http://www.yourwateryourdecision.org/
EPA has many brochures that can be downloaded or ordered, many are free or available at a low cost.
