The Drinking Water Program is involved in inspecting and monitoring bottled water purveyors operating bottling plants within the state of South Dakota, although we use the regulations of another Department to do so. All statutory authority rests with the Department of Public Safety. Bottled water must conform to Chapter 20:01:11 of the South Dakota Administrative Rules and to the requirements of CFR Title 21 of the US Food and Drug Administration that relate to bottled water. |
