DERA Funds - EPA State Clean Diesel Funds Awarded to Date
The South Dakota Clean Diesel Grant Program was awarded approximately $850,000 under EPA's State Clean Diesel Grant Program. The program provides funds to help school districts purchase new public school buses to replace old, high-emitting public school buses, and to equip in-use diesel school buses with exhaust control retrofit devices that significantly reduce toxic soot emissions. The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources administers the program in South Dakota. Awards per school district for a replacement bus are at least 25% of replacement cost and 100% for retrofit installation. Clean Diesel Program grant awards include:
